Beyond the Classroom

  • Develop professional and leadership skills as a member of the Environmental Student Organization or the Soil and Water Conservation Society. Participate in service projects and fun events.
  • Gain valuable on-the-job training and explore future career opportunities through internships and co-op experiences with industry and agency partners.
  • Conduct research alongside top-notch faculty using state of the art equipment in the laboratory and in the field. Make new discoveries in wetlands, geospatial landscape analysis, water quality, environmental chemistry, waste management, and land restoration.
  • Encounter new cultures, new ecosystems, and new environmental perspectives through study-abroad and student exchange programs.
  • Be recognized for your achievements through one of the department’s merit-based scholarships. More than $25,000 is awarded annually.
